The Refuse to Sign Campaign seeks the separation of church and state by advocating equal marriage rights for all people, regardless of sexual orientation, by encouraging faith communities, and their leaders, not to sign state-issued marriage licenses.

We the undersigned ask you to sign our covenant.

As a layperson, I believe there should be a separation of the church and the state in reference to the signing of the state-issued marriage licenses. As a layperson, I covenant that I will speak to or write to my pastor and will ask them to not sign state-issued marriage licenses and to only perform religious ceremonies for all people.

A confirmation email will be sent to the email address you provide. Please watch for it.

Thank you.

Anyone who gets married or attends a marriage is endorsing the homophobic agenda UNTIL all people are free to marry.

The separation of church and state goes both ways. Just as the State must never be allowed to infringe on the right to freely practice any religion, religion must not infringe on the rights granted to us by the state. This much is clear, what remains to be seen is the path that we must follow to achieve true liberty for all.
