Marriage has always been between one man and one woman.

Actually, it hasn’t. Numerous civil societies throughout history have defined marriage in multiple configurations, including polygamy. Some have even allowed married men to have concubines! We are advocating monogamy; we just believe that same-gender couples should have the same rights, privileges, and responsibilities that heterosexual couples enjoy and to have their relationships recognized by local, state, and federal governments, as well as their faith communities.
